Privacy
The formatted emails available from Allergy Runner are too complex to fully assemble on your Apple mobile device. Due to related technical limitations we must leverage the power of our application server in order to build and send your allergy emails on your behalf.
To help address any privacy concerns you may have about this feature, please review the following summary of the process and the steps we have taken to protect your information.
After you decide what content should appear in your email, provide the destination email addresses, and press the Send Email button in the app...
- The specific data (text and images) needed for the email are bound into a single data file and transmitted to our server.
- The application server opens the file and assembles the email.
- No user registration is needed. You do not have an account with us and your data is not stored.
- The assembled email is addressed and forwarded on to a standard mail server. This is the mail server you specified or our default server.
- Your allergy data is deleted almost immediately after transmission to our server after the email has been sent.
- We don’t store a copy of the data for you. Each time you send an email, the data is temporarily entrusted to us for a brief few seconds. The email is sent and the data is deleted without human intervention.
To put this as plainly as we can: we don’t capture any of your allergy data, we don’t store any of your contacts or email addresses, your email server account info is only stored on your iPhone and not on our server. We won’t be collecting email addresses for spam campaigns, won’t be collecting data, and won’t have any data to sell.
Our mission is to get your email to the intended destination. Then we forget all about you until you need us again. Rinse and repeat.
We reserve the right to make future enhancements of the app or server. For example we may optionally support user accounts to enable you to edit your data from a real keyboard. The privacy impact of any such optional features will be explained at the appropriate time.
